About the Daughters
Alicia’s journey in floristry began at just fifteen years old, making deliveries for a local flower shop before learning the art of floral design for weddings and funerals. By the age of nineteen, she and her mother purchased the shop, where she spent the next twelve years building a full-service floral and catering business. Throughout her career, Alicia attended advanced floral design classes, trained designers, and created flowers for countless weddings and events across Oklahoma. Her decades of experience continue to shape every arrangement with craftsmanship, creativity, and care.
Sterling’s creative path began alongside her mom, helping cater weddings and special events from a young age. She later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Oklahoma State University, concentrating in ceramics. Since graduating in 2016, she has continued creating functional pottery while building a career in arts administration. Her background as an artist brings a sculptural eye, appreciation for form and texture, and a passion for creating beautiful, meaningful work.
Together, we founded Daughters Floral as a space where our shared creativity could flourish. We are inspired by the natural movement of flowers, thoughtful color palettes, and designs that feel both elevated and welcoming. Whether we’re creating intimate bouquets, large-scale installations, or wedding florals, our goal is always the same: to design pieces that leave a lasting impression and help tell the story of life’s most meaningful moments.
